Dhaka muslin is also called as a "fabric woven of air" or "Skin of the moon" because it has thread counts in the range of 800-1200-an order of magnitude above any other cotton fabric that exists today. It is made of rare-extinct cotton like plank called as phuti karpas which grows only along the banks of Meghna and Ganges river. It is famous for being super light weights, ultra thin, breathable, delicate, soft, smooth and transparent hence making it expensive. It was very famous during the Mughal empire and was highly popular in Europe too. Jamdani weave has its origin from Dhaka which was then in Bengal during pre Independence period. Jamdani is derived from the persian word "Jam meaning floral and dani means vase or a container" named after decorative floral pattern found in this weave.
Note - The saree comes with its own running blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purpose only.
Since this product is handblock printed, there might be slight irregularities. But this is the charm of owning a pure handblock printed beauty.
